PROPELLER is Future Yard’s in-house artist development programme, supporting ambitious Liverpool City Region music creators to grow sustainable careers within the live music sector.
The programme combines mentoring, workshops, live opportunities and industry support to help artists develop their live shows, grow audiences, strengthen professional assets and build momentum around their projects.
Alongside personalised support, selected Propeller artists will deliver a professionally promoted headline show at Future Yard and access wider live opportunities through Future Yard’s national partner network.
Artists on the programme receive support across:
- Live performance and touring opportunities
- Audience growth and marketing
- Professional assets and artist development
- Funding, revenue streams and rights
- Live strategy and career planning
- Wellbeing and sustainable creative careers
Propeller is delivered through a series of regular artist development sessions, personalised check-ins and mentoring conversations, alongside workshops and masterclasses led by industry professionals, artists, trade bodies and partners from across the UK music industry.
Alongside the core programme, we also run free open-access workshops and masterclasses for music creators across the Liverpool City Region, creating opportunities for artists at all stages of their journey.
The programme is delivered in cohorts of 10 artists at a time, with core sessions taking place over the course of 12 weeks. The next programme is due to take place in September, October and November.
