Future Yard

For loading in equipment to the studios, you must load in via the rear of the building on Alma Street. For load in, please use this postcode: CH41 5BX. After you have loaded in, you must then clear the loading bay and park on Henry Street (or use the nearby Hinson Street car park). The rear load-in door is accessed by a code, which you can collect from a member of staff at the front bar.
Future Yard is a multi-use space situated in the heart of Birkenhead, in easy reach of three train stations, a bus station and the Birkenhead Tunnel. Future Yard currently comprises a bar and coffee shop area, live music space and garden. All of these areas are on our ground floor with step-free access. We encourage all of our customers to walk and/or cycle to Future Yard where possible, and we have places for you to lock your bike securely. If using public transport, please abide by current restrictions. Audience members are advised to travel with their booking group only. But we appreciate that this isn’t always possible, so we’ve put together some more information for you below.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Future Yard is served well by local transport. Birkenhead Hamilton Square, Conway Park and Birkenhead Central Merseyrail Stations are all within half a mile, or a 5-minute walk. It takes just 4 minutes to get from James Street in Liverpool to Hamilton Square Station. Birkenhead Bus Station is situated just round the corner on Grange Road, 0.2 miles away. Buses and trains run frequently from all these locations, connecting us to New Brighton, West Kirby, Ellesmere Port, Liverpool city centre and Chester. The last buses and trains generally leave between 11pm and 11.30pm.

PARKING
Future Yard does not have designated parking. It is well serviced by public parking on Argyle Street and a number of public car parks in the area (Argyle Street, Hinson Street, Duncan Street).The Hinson Street car park is only 200 yards away from the venue load-in: it is free after 6pm and only £1 per hour during the day.
TAXIS
Taxis will drop customers off and pick them up at the main entrance on Argyle Street. We recommend our local taxi service ARGYLE who have an app that can be downloaded, or you can ring them on 0151 201 1111.
If you are travelling by car from Liverpool, the Birkenhead (Queensway) Tunnel is much more direct than the Wallasey (Kingsway) Tunnel. And a tip to remember when you exit the Birkenhead Tunnel: take a sharp left when you exit the tunnel, before the main toll booths, following direction for Chester Street exit. Then take a left on Market Street, followed by a left on to Hamilton Street and a right on to Hinson Street. This will bring you out right by the venue and will save you a journey round the houses!
