DEPS REQUIRED FOR MOSH TOTS

Mosh Tots takes place every Sunday during term time at Future Yard. Our Mosh Tots band perform a 50 minute set of pop songs and songs from children’s films (Disney and the likes). We also take the Mosh Tots band on the road to perform at assemblies at local schools. We’re looking to build a pool of deps to cover our regular Mosh Tots band when they are unavailable.

The Mosh Tots band is a three piece that consist of a main vocalist and the other two also have vocal requirements, they play guitar/keys, bass and drums. Future Yard has full backline.

As a dep, you will be required to learn a full Mosh Tots set list and cover at least three shows per term.

The pay rate will be £20 per hour for performances (5 hours on a Sunday morning, approx. 7 hours for school assemblies) and then rehearsals, meetings etc will be £10.90 per hour.

The closing date to get your applications in is 22nd December at the end of the day.

We will be hosting auditions at Future Yard on 7th and 14th of January from 9am-2pm, so you must be available for at least one of these dates.

All our team members that take part in Mosh Tots are required to undergo a DBS check.

We’re looking for musicians with the following experience:

Essential

• Experienced, high energy live performer
• Playing at a professional standard
• Fast to learn new material
• Available Sunday mornings (dates provided in advance)

Preferred

• Backing vocal experience
• Comfortable sight reading lead sheets
• Experience working with or performing for children and and/or young people

MOSH TOTS is Future Yard’s series of gigs for kids (and well behaved parents!), here to introduce kids to the rockin’ world of live music in a safe and fun environment. We believe that live music should be for everyone, no matter your age. For too long live music venues have been off limits for young children (not to mention their parents); Mosh Tots is here to flip that on its head and is an opportunity to share the joy of live music together as a family.

Mosh Tots has quickly established itself as the hottest tickets in town, playing to full houses every Sunday morning at Future Yard. Playing a mix of Disney classics, pop-bangers and a small number of originals, the show introduces children to basic musical concepts and is accompanied by lead sheets with a defined structure.
