In this session we will be looking at all the different ways that your music can make money and what you need to do to receive it. How you can ensure you have money trickling in, when to expect it and how to plan around it.
This session will take place in our Workshop Space @ Future Yard. It will focus on how to plan your upcoming activity to not only have impact on your project but also so that it is potentially fundable.
Our online Q+A series returns, but with this intro session we will be talking through how to make the most out of Future Yard's Propeller programme. We will be going through key activity happening over the next six months alongside how and why the programme has developed.
What royalties does your music generate? How and when do you register your music so that you can collect these royalties? We shall be guiding you through the answers to both of these questions.
An extensive workshop covering all things LIVE! Over five hours we'll be covering everything from identifying live opportunities and contacting promoters, through to working with booking agents and thinking strategically.
Starting with ideas for effective time and task management, we'll be discussing how to avoid reaching those dreaded feelings of burnout. How can you ensure you are working smarter not harder and that there's "return of investment" on the time you spend pushing your musical projects forward.

How do you turn your listeners into customers?
We will be looking at offline, online, paid and organic marketing and how we can apply different methods to music audiences. Not only will this give you more tools in your toolbox when you are approaching different types of activity, but will also give you the knowledge to breakdown marketing activity in funding applications, too.
This session will go through the fundamental elements of copyright law, agreements and contracts. We will look at situations that you will encounter as a music creator that knowing how to legally look after yourself.
With some glamorous assistance from Philip Morris from the Musician's Union, we will be taking you through the many elements you need to know when registering as a business. Whether you are getting ready for this part or you're backfilling knowledge having already registered, this is a very useful way of spending a Sunday in November.
We are so excited to chat to an absolutely incredible creative mind, this month. Mastering engineer Katie Tavini has no doubt sprinkled her magic on at least one of your favourite records. We'll be chatting to her about her career and the art of mastering.

There's going to be a great deal covered in this. How on earth are you supposed to know if that manager is going to make or break your career? How do you determine whether that label has the resources to get you where you want it to? How do you find out if that press person gets your project and can tell writers about you properly? Expect lots of answers to these questions and a tonne more.
This session will have a focus on ensuring your branding, artwork, imagery, video content and beyond all have a cohesive feel which builds a world that your growing audience will get lost in and stay in for some time.
