Fair Play on Tour: Sustainable Touring & Artist Well-being Discussion

RSVP HERE

Come join us for an engaging and informative discussion on sustainable touring and artist well-being on the final date of the MU’s Fair Play on Tour series in partnership with Future Yard. This in-person event will take place on Tue Nov 21, 2023 at 18:00 GMT. Future Yard is located at 75 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6AB and is at the forefront of reimagining live music venues, offering not only great music but also industry training and artist development.

Throughout the evening, engage with two expert-led panels. The first, “Touring with a Sustainable Mindset” hosted by the MU’s North of England Organiser Paul Reed and featuring Balraj Singh Samrai, explores environmentally conscious touring, offering practical advice to reduce your carbon footprint. More panellists to be announced. Stay tuned!

The second panel, “Financial Sustainability and Mental Well-being on Tour“, hosted by the MU’s National Organiser for Live, Theatre & Music Writers Kelly Wood, with musician Vernon Fulleead of Skills and Development at Future Yard and music manager Cath Hurley and more. This panel delves into the challenges artists face in balancing financial stability and mental well-being.

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions to the panellists throughout the evening.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow musicians, exchange ideas, and contribute to a more sustainable and artist-friendly industry. Whether you’re an artist, a music industry professional, or simply passionate about the topic, this event is for you!
