DIRECT INPUT: NATALIE McCOOL (SONGWRITING)
Discussing the benefits and importance of collaboration in songwriting and the different tools and techniques we can utilise to make the most of opportunities we have with other creatives. Collaborations form when we work with producers, mixers, musicians and also other songwriters. The purposes and outcomes can differ, this conversation will explore the many uses of co-writes along with the skills needed when writing to a brief for publishers, sync briefs and other opportunities that may come our way. Natalie will also be sharing her experiences of songwriting camps. Songwriting camps are sessions set up by publishers and other songwriting organisations to promote collaboration and to create new and interesting compositions that combine multiple voices, experiences, skills and inspiration. Recorded on 15.09.22.
